What is EDI2XML ?
EDI2XML is a library of executable (.exe) files developed to
convert an ASCI X12 EDI files to XML.
OUT of the box, the edi2xml converter is able to read an Incoming
EDI (ASCI X12) file format - regardless of its version- and converts
it to XML format. The output XML file can be parsed and processed
with most of the ERP and information systems, since XML is the
standard for data exchange.
For outgoing EDI files, XML2EDI converter, works the opposite way;
it reads an input XML file, and produces an EDI (ASCI X12) file
format as an output.
Edi2xml converter makes it easy for developers to integrate EDI with
their ERP applications, and streamlines the EDI integration process.
EDI2XML converters are cross-platform, since it is developed in C#
and Java.
What is different with editoxml converters?
Most EDI to XML converters in the market today, convert EDI files
into an XML AS IS, meaning that the XML format of the result file is
the same as EDI with a difference it is in XML.
However, our XML result files don’t look the same. It is a
simplified version of the original EDI format; segments and fields
naming are simplified to reflect the description in EDI standard,
loops are reduced to the minimum...
The XML result file provided by our EDI converters can be simply
interpreted by any user, if opened in a web browser.

What are the advantages of using edi2xml converters?
There are several advantages to use edi2xml converters:
- Quick deployment:
Little training is required to be able to deploy edi2xml converters. Reading the quick user guide with less than 5 minutes and you can be up and running. - No programming needed - ZERO:
The edi2xml converters are executables (no source code). It works the way it was developed. Systems integrators will not need to spend time and effort in learning EDI standards and find resources for EDI programming and translation. - Minimum knowledge of EDI standards:
Since the converters were designed to capture 90 %of the known usable fields in an EDI document, and present it in an XML understandable format; there is practically no need for an extensive knowledge of EDI standards. - Tested and proved to function:
Our converters are the result of several years of experience in EDI development and implementation; it is proven to work the proper way! - Customizable:
Our converters are designed to capture more than 90% of the EDI information in any given EDI document. We can however customize the converters to function according to your requirements (charges will apply). - Upgradable:
Systems integrators don’t need to worry about upgradability of their converters. All converters are upgradable. - Technical support:
Systems integrators are not left alone. Support is done by email or phone.
